Formats & export

Why is my exported video blurry?

Four usual causes, in order of likelihood: you exported below your source resolution (a 1080p clip exported at 480/720p); your source was already low-res and got scaled up (zooming past ~140% softens footage); the file was compressed multiple times through multiple tools; or the platform's own processing degraded it — video looks fine locally but soft after upload, especially in the first minutes before high-res processing finishes.

The clean workflow: edit everything in one tool, export once at your source's resolution (1080p for most), and upload that file directly. In EseCut, exports match the preview frame-for-frame, so what you scrub is what you ship.
